My favorite Christmas song is 'Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas'.

1944년 MGM 뮤지컬 [Meet Me in St. Louis]에서 Judy Garland가 불렀던 노래. Hugh Martin과 Ralph Blane의 작품이다. 이후 원작의 가사가 거듭 수정되었으며 Frank Sinatra가 개사하여 부른 것이 유명하다.

  이 노래. 크리스마스에 한쪽 발을 담근 로맨틱 코메디의 엔딩, 배경음악으로 가장 잘 어울린다고 생각합니다.

  곡조가 따뜻하죠. ^^
  그런데 막상 원작의 배경을 보면, 역경의 한가운데에서 불리워진 거더라구요. 아직 희망조차 없고 앞으로 닥칠 고생을 견뎌야 하는, 아이가 더 어린 아이에게. 그 마음이... 왠지 감옥 안의 겨울 이야기가 생각나서 더 좋아졌습니다. (뮤지컬을 떠나서는 보다 업비트의 내용도 밝은 가사로 개작된 것도 좋지만요.)
